The easiest way for you to understand what Cobblestone Science is all about is to get to know me a bit. As the owner, I typically choose what work to undertake. Our clients, and the work we do for them, tend to reflect what I feel most passionate about.
I am a problem solver. I enjoy helping clients with particularly thorny issues or making attainable that which was thought to be impossible.
I am a project manager. Give me a chaotic idea, and I will make an achievable plan. I will break a big project into its component parts, so that I can help clients move forward and achieve their goals. This permeates my life as well as my work – one of my most fun accomplishments, with Cappie from Pangea Design Group, was gutting and rehabbing a 1898 farmhouse. It’s a real showcase for project management!
I am a teacher. I have taught in some capacity my entire career – from typical classrooms (well, my classes were never *typical*!) to boardrooms to 10,000-seat conference halls. Sharing knowledge and learning from others are the most powerful things we can do.
I am a community builder. I get excited when I can lift up my community, connect people that can help each other, make our lives better collectively.
I am a geographer. I have spent my career looking at satellite images of Earth and thinking about how I can get this information into more hands. How can I break down technical barriers?
I am privileged to be in a position to work with clients on compelling and challenging issues. Some of our most fun work is helping small business owners with planning, so that they can pursue their passion – we make a great team! But we also work with huge organizations, which gives me the opportunity to solve complicated problems.
Thank you for visiting! I hope to see you in person some day soon.
